Refund policy

At Mirth & Mettle, every piece is made by hand and chosen with care. We want you to love what arrives at your door. If something isn't right, please read the policy below — we'll do our best to make it right.

Return window

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange. After that, we're unable to accept returns.

Conditions for return

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused
  • In their original packaging with all tags attached
  • In the same condition you received them

Items that cannot be returned

For hygiene and the nature of handcrafted goods, the following are final sale:

  • Pierced earrings
  • Custom or personalized pieces
  • Items marked "Final Sale" or "Last Chance"
  • Gift cards

Damaged or defective items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery at support@mirthnmettle.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund.

How to start a return

  1. Email support@mirthnmettle.com within 14 days of delivery, including your order number and the reason for return.
  2. We'll reply within 1–2 business days with return instructions and the return address.
  3. Ship the item back to us using a trackable courier. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged or sent in error.
  4. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm.

Refunds

After we approve your return, refunds are processed within 7–14 business days to your original payment method. For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds are issued via bank transfer or store credit (your choice).

Original shipping fees are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error or a defective item.

Exchanges

If you'd like a different size, color, or piece, the fastest way is to return the original item for a refund and place a new order.

Sale and discounted items

Items purchased on sale or with a discount code are eligible for return only if specifically stated on the product page; otherwise, they are exchange or store credit only.
