Our story
Joy, made with grit.
Mirth & Mettle began with a simple idea: that the things we wear every day should hold meaning. Mirth is joy. Mettle is the courage and steadiness it takes to make something with your hands.
Why Mirth & Mettle
Joy, made with grit
Mirth & Mettle began with a simple idea: that the things we wear every day should hold meaning. Mirth is joy. Mettle is the courage and steadiness it takes to make something with your hands. Every necklace, bracelet, and scarf in our shop is shaped around that promise — pieces that quietly celebrate the women who wear them.
We design and produce in Egypt, in small batches, working with local artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations.
Our craft
Made by hand, in small batches
From the first sketch to the last knot, our pieces pass through the hands of women artisans across Cairo and beyond. We use traditional techniques — hand-loomed scarves, hand-set stones, hand-finished metalwork — because slow work makes better things.
Small batches mean fewer pieces in the world, and more care in each one.
Handmade in Egypt
Every piece, by hand. No shortcuts, no factories.
Made with heart
Designed with women in mind, made with women's hands.
Small batch
We make less, on purpose. Better things, fewer of them.
Built to last
Materials we love, finishes that age beautifully.
I wanted to make the kind of pieces I wished I could find — quiet, considered, and rooted in where I'm from. Mirth & Mettle is my answer.
